Terms of Use

1. About These Terms

Retirement Timer ("the App") is provided by Spiralmode Design Studio Inc. ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who Can Use the App

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Free Service

The App is currently free to use. If we ever offer paid features, we will tell you clearly before you are charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

4. Not Financial Advice

The App provides planning tools, countdowns, estimates and projections for general informational purposes only. Nothing in the App is financial, investment, tax, legal or retirement advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

5. Milestones and Estimates

Milestone ages, such as Social Security and Medicare eligibility, are based on publicly available information from U.S. government sources and may change. Projections depend on the numbers you enter and are not guarantees. Please confirm important dates and benefits with the Social Security Administration (ssa.gov) and Medicare (medicare.gov).

6. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account. Please provide accurate information. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.

7. Your Content

You own the information, photos and lists you add. You give us permission to store and display them only to provide the App to you and to any partner you choose to share with. Please upload only photos you have the right to use.

8. Shared Countdowns

If you invite a partner, the shared goal, dates, bucket list and savings information will be visible to and editable by both of you. Only invite someone you trust. Either person may leave a shared countdown at any time.

9. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Do not try to access another person's data or disrupt the service.
• Do not scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the App.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

10. Availability and Changes

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the App. If we plan to shut the App down, we will try to give you reasonable notice so you can save your information.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spiralmode Design Studio Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on the App's estimates or projections. Because the App is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.

12. Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Spiralmode Design Studio Inc., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. We are responsible for those to the extent required by these Terms and the law.
• Your use of the App must also follow the App Store's Usage Rules.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the App or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
