Privacy Policy

Retirement Timer ("the app") is made by Spiralmode Design Studio Inc., California ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What We Collect

We collect only what's needed to run the app:

• Account information: your name and email address, from your email sign-in or from Google or Apple when you choose "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple." If you use "Hide My Email," we receive Apple's private relay address instead.
• Planning information you enter: birth month and year, target retirement date, goal title, savings goal and balance, planned expenses and budget details.
• Optional content: a goal cover photo and bucket-list items, if you add them.
• Partner sharing: if you invite a partner, their email address, and the shared goal, dates, bucket list and savings information you both can see.
• Technical information: an account ID, plus basic logs needed to keep the service running and secure.

We do not connect to your bank or investment accounts, and we do not collect your location, contacts or payment information.

How We Use Your Information

• To show your countdown, milestones, savings progress and budget
• To send the progress emails, reminders and milestone notifications you turn on
• To let you share a countdown with a partner you invite
• To provide support, keep the app secure and fix problems

We never sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and the app contains no ads.

Emails and Notifications

Progress emails and reminders are sent only if you turn them on. You can turn them off anytime in Settings by setting the frequency to "Off." Push notifications can be turned off in the app or in your iPhone's Settings.

Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States and protected by sign-in. Access is limited to you, a partner you invite, and authorized Spiralmode staff when needed to provide support. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Keeping and Deleting Your Data

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and personal data within 30 days, including from backups within 90 days. If you leave a shared countdown, your partner keeps their own copy.

Your Choices and Rights

You can view and edit your information in the app at any time. You can also email us to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. We'll respond within 30 days.

Children

Retirement Timer is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Retirement Timer is a planning tool and does not provide financial, tax or legal advice.

Changes to This Policy

If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email.
